My name is Ilya KOMAROV, I am a practicing psychologist from Russia.
In my work, I mainly rely on the Gestalt and IFS (Internal Family Systems) approaches.
I deal with a wide range of cases: from procrastination and loss of motivation, to building harmonious relationships with partners and overcoming family conflicts.
On top of common neurotic conditions which constitute the bulk of my practice, my clients also include people with bipolar disorder (BAR), depression of varying degrees, anxiety, panic attacks and phobias, PTSD, OCD, eating disorders, clients with psychological trauma, as well as with suicidal and self-harm tendencies.
In my work and research, I try to make up for the perceived lack of manly presence in the psychological space, so my professional interests focus on the father figure, the role of men in family and society, healthy masculinity.
I consult both in Russian and English.
This website serves both as a business card and as a complete and up-to-date collection of my publications, a rally point for materials from different platforms.
For the moment, most of my materials are in Russian but you can watch my videos on
YouTube with automatically generated subtitles or join my
Telegram channel where some materials are also available in English.
